Presentation from Mark Borgerding on benchmarking the Intel PentiumD and Core2 processors.

Aaron Newcomb gave a presentation on the_source an IPTV show on open source that he makes with Brian Burgess. They are looking for help with the production or for stories. http://www.thesourceshow.org (also on google video and itunes)

Pleasant Ridge Library - near the corner of Ridge and Montgomery Rds. They have a large basement that could hold about 100 w/ a low stage. As long as we kept it free and non-profit we are welcome there. It's a nice residential neighborhood.

The Library is located in Pleasant Ridge part of Cincinnati which is near the East end of the Norwood Lateral (Ohio-562) and I-71.

Western Cinnnati

• From I-75, go EAST on the Norwood Lateral (Ohio-562) until it ends. There are 3 exit ramps, take the LEDT ramp called the "Ridge Rd" exit. This exit ramp wanders a bit and ends in a traffic light at Ridge Rd.
• Turn LEFT on Ridge Rd. This turn takes you toward Montgomery Rd.
• Go NORTH on Ridge Rd. about 1.5 miles to Montgomery Rd. Ridge and Montgomery is a major intersection with a traffic light.
• Turn RIGHT (east) on Montgomery Rd.
• Go 2 BLOCKS to the end of the business district and the Pleasant Ridge Branch of the Public Library is on the left. The parking lot will hold 15-20 cars. There is also free parking on the street. The meeting is in the basement.

From Cincinnati and Kentucky

• Go NORTH on I-71
• take the "NORTH RIDGE Rd" exit (direction important). That ramp puts you on North Ridge Road and takes you toward Montgomery Rd.
• Go NORTH on Ridge Rd. about 1.5 miles to Montgomery Rd. This is a major intersection with a traffic light.
• Turn RIGHT (east) on Montgomery Rd.
• Go 2 BLOCKS to the end of the business district and the Pleasant Ridge Branch of the Public Library is on the left. The parking lot will hold 15-20 cars. There is also free parking on the street. The meeting is in the basement.

South on I-71 (Different)

• Take the HIGHLAND Avenue exit.
• At the end of the exit ramp there is a traffic light. TURN LEFT (west) on to Highland Avenue. Go 1 block to the next traffic light which is Ridge Road.
• Turn RIGHT (north) on Ridge Rd. That turn takes you North toward Montgomery Rd.
• Go NORTH on Ridge Rd. about 1.5 miles to Montgomery Rd. This is a major intersection with a traffic light.
• Turn RIGHT (east) on Montgomery Rd.
• Go 2 BLOCKS to the end of the business district and the Pleasant Ridge Branch of the Public Library is on the LEFT (north) side of the street. The parking lot will hold 15-20 cars. There is also free parking on the street. The meeting is in the basement.

The decision on new meeting places has been put off until the March meeting.
A request for ideas for places was made. Add ideas for places on the
comment thread to the "Center of CLUG" thread on the website.
