What To Do for a "Precondition Failed" Error When PostingSubmitted by kip on Fri, 2006-01-06 19:00.
The CauseOne cause of this error is the mod_security Apache module used by TextDrive (our website host). If the module finds a string in your post that it doesn't like (such as those frequently used in attacks), it will cause Apache to emit this error. ( categories: Web Site Development )

Nth Annual CLUG PicnicSubmitted by kip on Sun, 2005-10-09 20:35.
The Nth annual CLUG picnic was a success, no matter how you slice it. Take for example the nicely sliced ham, beef franks, and giant pork sausages, courtesy the John Morrell company by Sandy M. The weather was cool, and there was a breeze off and on, but no rain unlike last year's N-1th annual picnic, where the rain thankfully kept the cicadas at bay. So what do a bunch of technophiles do when they gather for a picnic? Freeze things in liquid nitrogen, of course... beginning with ice cream. ( categories: Meeting Notes )

Those who are interested in serving on the 2006 CLUG Board should step forward at this time. There are 4 officer positions (President, VP, Treasurer, & Secretary) and 3 at-large positions. We need at least one nomination for each position by October 15th. The list of nominees will be announced at that time. The election will be held during the November meeting. For those who are interested, send a note to any of the election committee members: monty@cinternet.net (Monty Stein) Any requests for absentee ballots should be made to any of the above as well. login to post comments
